Day 1: Beijing
After traveling for nearly 24 hours to reach China, we arrived late on Wednesday night, May 23rd. Dr. Liu anticipated that we would be tired and jetlagged, so our first day in China was relatively easy. We drove around 3 of Beijing's ring roads, including a stop at the still-under-construction Olympic Village.
